Paving Operations To Resume In Southington Monday: Town
The summer paving work had paused due to recent delays caused by a 'backup' in the contractor's schedule.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Town officials said paving operations throughout town will resume on Monday, Sept. 8, after a delay caused by a schedule backup.
The Town of Southington said Tilcon, the company conducting the paving, has experienced a backup in its schedule.
This has resulted in a temporary shutdown of paving work in recent days.

That work, however, will resume on Monday, Sept. 8, town officials wrote in an update.
"Please note this date may change depending on weather or any equipment issues on Tilcon's end," wrote the town.

Meanwhile, the town reports recent chip-sealed roads are in "good shape" and the town will continue to "monitor and sweep" them as needed.
