Recent Southington High Grad Killed In Crash: Reports

The young New Hampshire man recently relocated to New Hampshire and was killed in an accident in Maine.

SOUTHINGTON/BIDDEFORD, MAINE — A 2021 graduate of Southington High School who relocated to New Hampshire was killed in a motorcycle accident late last week in Maine.

According to the Bangor Daily News in Maine, the victim has been identified as Zachary Swain, 21.

Citing Main State Police, the Daily News reported that Swain was thrown from his motorcycle while exiting the Maine Turnpike in Biddeford, Maine, Friday evening.

Swain was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Maine newspaper.

Swain's online obituary listed him as a 2021 graduate of Southington High School and a current resident of Marlborough, N.H.

Engaged to be married, the obituary said Swain worked in the construction industry and was an avid disc golf player.

Swain's funeral is slated to take place on Thursday, May 9, with calling hours on Wednesday, May 8. Both will take place at the Plantsville Funeral Home in Southington.
