Road Work To Impact Travel On Valentine's Day In Southington: Police

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Ongoing road work on Marion Avenue in Southington will impact motorists traveling in that area on Valentine's Day, police said.

The Southington Police Department said Thursday that from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, a detour will be in place on Marion Avenue between Diana Road and Pine Street.

Police said southbound traffic on Marion Avenue will be detoured from Marion Avenue to Diana Road, Prospect Street, Deer Run, Union Street, and then Pine Street.

Northbound traffic will be the same route reversed, according to police

Police said the roadway will be impassable for emergency vehicles as well as school buses for the hours listed above.
