Rotary Club of Southington holds Food Drive at Tops Marketplace
The Rotary Club of Southington held it's annual food drive benefiting Southington Community Services at Tops Market on Saturday, April 12.
The Southington Rotary Club took a heartfelt initiative this past Saturday at Tops Marketplace, rallying community support to combat food insecurity. Volunteers warmly greeted shoppers, encouraging them to contribute non-perishable food items to help replenish the shelves at Southington Community Services. Southington Rotary's dedication and genuine concern for the well-being of those struggling to secure their next meal resonated deeply, resulting in an outpouring of generosity from Tops patrons. Tops shoppers donated over 740 pounds of food and $150 in Tops gift cards. The tireless work of Southington Community Services provides nourishment and hope to local families in need.
This event highlights the power of collective action and the pivotal role our community plays in fostering care and compassion. With the help of the Southington Rotary Club and the generosity of our residents, not only did we help restock the shelves of Southington Community Services we also inspired a sense of solidarity, proving that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
