Serious Accident Cleared On I-84 In Southington: UPDATE

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A serious crash closed part of Interstate 84 in Southington early Tuesday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation, but a lane did open and the accident has since been cleared.

The DOT reports the single-vehicle accident was on I-84 West between exits 33 and 32, resulting in the closure of the westbound side of the highway.

At 5:26 a.m., the DOT reported the right lane was closed on I-84 West.

The accident was first reported at 3:04 a.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
