Sizzling Weather To Hit Southington, When Will Pools Open?
Despite sizzling summer weather predicted for later in the week, Southington's first pool opens Saturday, with another set for June 14.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — While temperatures are expected to start sizzling on Thursday, folks will have to wait until Saturday to, at least, cool down via town water attractions.
That's because the pool and splash pad at Memorial Park (Woodruff Street) are scheduled to open for the season on Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m., town officials said recently.
At the other town pool, folks will have to wait a bit longer.

The pools at Recreation Park (Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville) are scheduled to open on Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m.
Town recreation officials remind residents that all Town pool facilities are open to Southington residents only.

However, each resident with a proper ID may bring one non-resident as a guest.
