SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington football team advanced to the Class LL semifinals with a thrilling 35-30 victory over Glastonbury in the quarterfinals Wednesday night at Southington High School.

Sophomore running back Ben Beaulieu ran for 138 yards and five touchdowns to lead the fourth-seeded Blue Knights, according to GameTimeCT.

The Southington defense also stopped fifth-seeded Glastonbury in the red zone during the final minute to hold onto the victory, according to GameTimeCT.

Southington will face No. 8 NFA in a semifinal showdown on Monday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Southington High School.
