Southington Car Cruise Helps Prominent Local Nonprofit
The Arc of Southington was the beneficiary of a car show at the drive-in theater that raised money for those with intellectual disabilities.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A regular car cruise program at Southington's beloved drive-in movie theater recently netted a local nonprofit a sizable donation.
The Arc of Southington, a local nonprofit looking to help those with intellectual disabilities, extended gratitude to the Southington Drive-In Tuesday Night Car Cruise program.

for their generous charitable donation of $2,000 on Sept. 16.

On Sept. 16, the weekly car cruise benefited the Southington Arc to the tune of $2,000.
"This contribution will directly support individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities to participate in recreational events such as our annual Christmas Party, Trunk-or-Treat, and other activities that bring joy throughout the year," wrote the Southington Arc.

The weekly car cruise events at the historic Southington Drive-In Theater, 995 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Southington, take place every Tuesday from April through September.
They feature classic cars, food, entertainment, and a 50/50 raffle.
