Southington-Cheshire YMCA Unveils Holiday Hours

SOUTHINGTON/CHESHIRE, CT — Those looking to get a jump on burning those holiday calories can still use the Southington-Cheshire YMCA facilities, but they may have to adjust their schedule a bit.

The organization Thursday unveiled its holiday schedule for the Christmas and New Year's weekends.

It operates two YMCA sites, one at 29 High St., Southington, and the other at 967 Main St., Cheshire.

The Southington branch's special holiday hours are the following:

• Sunday, Dec. 24: Main site open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The YMCA Spirit, Mind, Body Center is closed.

• Monday, Dec. 25: Closed for Christmas Day.

• Sunday, Dec. 31: Main site open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; SMBC is closed; pool open from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

• Monday, Jan. 1, 2024: Main site open from 7 a.m. to noon; SMBC is closed.

YMCA officials said there is no childcare or programs available during these special hours and, other than Sunday, Dec. 31, the pool is closed.

The Cheshire branch's special holiday hours are the following:

• Sunday, Dec. 24: Main site open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Monday, Dec. 25: Closed for Christmas Day.

• Sunday, Dec. 31: Main site open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Monday, Jan. 1, 2024: Main site open from 8 a.m. to noon.

Cheshire's branch will also have no programs or childcare available during the holiday hours.
