Southington FD's Presence At High School Is Just A Test: SFD

The local fire department is expected to be at Southington High for planned work with school staffers.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you see Southington Fire Department personnel at Southington High School on Wednesday morning, there's no need for alarm.

The SFD said Tuesday it will be at SHS from 9 to 11 a.m., working with school staffers in testing a fire suppression system in the building

Fire officials sent out the notification in advance to let the community know.

"You may see fire apparatus, personnel, and fire protection engineers on-site—this is only a scheduled test," wrote the SFD.
