Southington Firefighters In Giving Mood With Toy Drive
The Southington Firefighters Union is hosting a toy drive through Friday, Dec. 13, to collect gifts for Southington Community Services.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local firefighters are working hard this holiday season to help folks help those struggling economically this holiday season.
Southington Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2033, which is the firefighters union for SFD members, will be collecting toys at various Southington Fire Department sites around town through Friday, Dec. 13.
The annual Holiday Toy Drive will collect new and gently used toys for Southington Community Services, which will then distribute them to clients before Christmas.

The drop-off locations are Southington FD stations at 310 N. Main St.; 130 E. Main St.; 35 Clark St.; and 72 River St.
As part of the initiative, the Southington Firefighters Union is hosting Santa Claus at the Southington Town Green from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1.

Those seeking a visit and picture with Santa should bring new or gently used toys for the toy drive.
