Southington Gas Station Sells Lotto Winner
The person last week walked into a Plantsville gas station and walked out with a much, much heavier bank account.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Plantsville gas station was the place to be last week if you wanted to purchase a winning lottery ticket.
According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., a Wolcott resident walked into the Jay's Interstate gas station on 11 Marion Ave., Plantsville (Southington), and walked out $50,000 richer on Friday, Sept. 12.
The resident purchased a "Millionaire Maker" scratch-off game for $30 and, while the game didn't result in the $1 million top prize, it is doubtful the $50,000 payout was too disappointing.
