Southington To Host Hartford Healthcare's 'CareVan'
The mobile urgent care clinic will be parked in Southington on Tuesday, April 23, to deliver a variety of medical services.
SOUTHINGTON, CT —A special van courtesy of Hartford Healthcare will be in Southington next week to help provide basic medical services that might be avoided by many.
Hartford Healthcare's "CareVan" will be parked at the Bread for Life facility, 31 Vermont Ave., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bread for Life is a Southington-based nonprofit dedicated to combatting food insecurity in the local community.

And, on this day, it will also be home to an initiative to help diagnose and screen folks who, otherwise, might not be getting the necessary medical attention they need.
Operating as a mobile, urgent care center, the CareVan will help folks address "urgent needs" such as colds/flu, stomach aches, ear aches, and other irritations.

In addition, it will provide medical screening services such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and other tests.
Also available are a variety of vaccines, including COVID-19, MMR, flu, and other vaccines combatting myriad diseases.
Walk-ins are welcome, the CareVan is open to all ages and, while insurance is accepted, it is not required.
