Southington Issues Parking Ban Due To Snowstorm

Thursday's snowstorm is expected to dump a few inches of snow throughout the state.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Citing the snowstorm expected on Thursday, Feb. 6, the Southington Police Department has announced that a parking ban is in effect for most of the day.

According to the SPD, the "emergency parking ban" will be effective from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

As a result, all on-street parking in Southington is prohibited during that time with penalties exacted against offenders in the form of $100 fines.

In addition to the parking ban ordinance, the SPD also issued a reminder about some of the ordinances associated with winter weather.
