Southington PD Seeks Donations At Annual Toy Drive This Weekend

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police will be at a major retailer this weekend for its annual toy drive aimed at helping Southington children in economically distressed households enjoy the holidays.

The Southington Police Department is hosting its annual "Stuff-a-Cruiser Toy Drive" at the Southington Walmart store on 235 Queen St. on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8 a.m. to noon.

There, officers will collect new, unwrapped toys to fill up a police cruiser for those in need.

In addition, police will be collecting cash donations to help fund the effort.

"Please help us make Christmas magical for all," wrote the SPD. "Any and all donations are greatly appreciated."
