Owner Of Missing Southington Dog Found: UPDATE

The cute canine was at the town's dog pound after being found roaming a neighborhood without a collar over Thanksgiving weekend.

Local police were looking for the owners of this dog, which was found roaming Sunday morning in town. It had no collar. The owner has now been found, according to the local animal control department.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police were looking for the owners of a dog found roaming in town over the Thanksgiving weekend and it appears those efforts have paid off.

According to the Southington Police Department, the canine was found in the area of Spring Lake Road and Pleasant Street early in the morning on Sunday, Nov. 26.

As a result, the dog was brought to the Southington Animal Control facility.

" The dog did not have a collar and appears to be friendly," wrote the SPD.

According to the department's Facebook page, the animal control office has now reported that the owner was found and reunited with the dog.
