Southington PD Welcomes 2 New Recruits

The young duo has six months of academy training to do before beginning work in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington's finest this week officially welcomed its two newest recruits.

The Southington Police Department on Wednesday swore in Officer Gabriella Binette and Officer Nikolai Smirnov as the newest members of the SPD.

After being officially sworn in, they began their six-month journey at the Waterbury Police Academy — "a journey built on discipline, growth, and a calling to serve others," wrote the SPD
