The Southington Animal Control Department has a magical mutt in its custody named 'Diamond' and its looking for a new home.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — What do you get when you cross and Akita, St. Bernard and a shepherd?
You get one magical mutt, at least according to the Southington Animal Control Department, which is currently looking for a forever home to a majestic mutt currently in its custody.
Last week, the town told the story of "Diamond," a mega-mixed breed that is currently staying with Southington Animal Control until a new family is found.

Local animal control officials posted her story Jan. 17.
"Her energy is contagious and this young, big girl is looking for someone with an active lifestyle willing to put the time and training in that Diamond would definitely benefit from," wrote Southington Animal Control via social media.

"She’s got a lot of love to give and is as sweet as can be but can be that 'bull in a china shop' if someone lets her. Training and consistency are paramount for our girl.."
