Southington Reminded About Snow/Ice Removal Regulations
Local police recently issued a reminder bulletin about the public's role in snow-removal operations.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — With winter weather not only possible but likely in the coming days and weeks, Southington police are reminding the community about their role in cleanup efforts.
Among the points raised by the SPD are:
• Southington's overnight parking ban is in effect from Nov. 14, 2024, to April 15, 2025, meaning no roadside parking is allowed from midnight to 6 a.m. at all times.

• Emergency parking bans will go into effect outside of those hours when the weather requires it.
• Property owners are required to clear any adjoining public sidewalks within 12 hours of the last snowflake falling, with ice treated with sand and/or salt within three hours.
