Southington Road To Be Closed Wednesday, Traffic Detoured: Police
The busy section of road will have detours in place for much of the day, according to police.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Road work on Wednesday, Feb. 12, is expected to cause some traffic issues for local motorists, police said.
The Southington Police Department said that on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Marion Avenue will have a detour in place between Diana Road and Pine Street.
As a result, southbound traffic on Marion Avenue will be detoured from Marion Avenue to Diana Road to Prospect Street to Deer Run to Union Street and onto Pine Street, police said.

Meanwhile, northbound traffic will be the same route reversed, according to the SPD.
Police said the roadway will be impassable for emergency vehicles as well as school buses for the hours listed above.
