Southington Animal Control is asking folks in the area to check their security camera footage to see if the dog turns up in any surveillance video.

"Please help and share," writes SAC. "If you think you got him on camera, call the number immediately with the location, date and time."

The dog lives in the Plantsville area of Southington, town officials said.

"This sweet guy jumped the fence in his yard. He is friendly and food motivated," wrote the town. "His family has had him his whole life and they are devastated."
