Southington's 'Bright Lights Christmas Fest' Promises Holiday fun
The free town tradition will take place Friday evening on Dec. 6.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One of Southington's biggest holiday celebrations will take place Friday, Dec. 6, at the Southington Town Green in the heart of the town.
The annual Bright Lights Christmas Festival is slated for 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the town's beloved green area.
That's where all sorts of fun, family activities — all with a holiday theme — are set to take place.

Among the events are a "Polar Express" children's train ride; a candy cane scavenger hunt; letters to Santa; a bonfire with s'mores; and the annual lighting of the Southington Town Green.
Meanwhile, guests will be able to visit Santa Claus, make Christmas tree ornaments, and enjoy a Christmas tag sale, crafts, and carolers as well as a candlelight tour and holiday craft night at the nearby Barns Museum.
