Southington's Educational Farm Hosting Big Plant Sale Saturday
Proceeds of Saturday's event benefit the Lewis Educational Agriculture Farm and its programs in partnership with the town/schools.
SOUTHINGTON, CT—A nonprofit farm dedicated to agricultural education is hosting a major fundraiser Saturday that could help folks green up their homes and yards in the process.
TheLewis Educational Agriculture Farm (LEAF) will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 65 Blueberry Lane, Southington.
LEAF is a nonprofit organization that oversees the Lewis Family Farm, which dates back 230 years.

Over time, the farm evolved into something much more than just growing and selling.
It is now a nonprofit agricultural education center that still provides locally grown produce, flora, and fauna, but it also bills itself as a place of "inclusion, where experiences connect us to each other and to the land that sustains us," reads LEAF's website.

LEAF's annual plant sale will feature vegetable plants, flowers, herbs, and more, with the site's greenhouses open for the public to stroll through and pick out plants of their choice.
Proceeds benefit LEAF's educational programs throughout the year in partnership with the town and its schools.
Parking is available on site, and payments can be made with cash, credit cards, and/or Venmo.
