Southington's Lost, Abandoned Dogs Need Help
The Friends of Southington Animal Control is soliciting public donations to help lost, abandoned pooches at the local dog pound.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local nonprofit dedicated to making sure the town's lost dogs have as comfortable and as safe a place to stay as possible is asking for the public's help.
The Friends of Southington Animal Control has embarked on a public campaign to receive donations to improve and maintain operations at the town's dog pound, 646 Woodruff St., Southington.
It strives to support the care of lost and abandoned pets at the site, with the ultimate goal being reunification with the owner or being adopted out to a new one if abandoned.

Meanwhile, the organization has already created a wish list of items it needs to help the dog pound function in the best interests of the animals, with information on that list available on the organization's Facebook page.
