Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Deven should be recognized because she has never forgotten why she chose to be a teacher in the first place. She always makes her students feel important and successful in school. She believes in the learning process and instills in her kids the mantra that the more they know, the better people they will become. She always refers to her students as her kids because they truly become part of her heart.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
Deven has the uncanny ability to recognize that her students all have individual struggles and battles, but they are absolutely capable of doing anything in the world they set their minds to. She sees her job as a privilege and acknowledges and thanks the parents for trusting in her and allowing her to challenge their children with high expectations. Her students are lucky to have such a loving and caring advocate in their corner - someone who I have personally seen spend countless hours outside of the school day finding ways to help her kids learn things in different ways.
