Who Will Be Southington's 'Top Dog' For 2025?

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If complying with the law wasn't enough for you to get your dog's license renewed this June, a special contest might just do the trick.

That's because the Town of Southington is hosting its annual "Top Dog" contest this year, where a drawing takes place to determine who gets the prestigious "No. 1" license tag.

All folks have to do is comply with the law this month and renew and or obtain a dog license through the Southington Town Clerk's office.

All dogs licensed and/or renewed by June 30 are eligible, with the "Top Dog" drawing taking place on July 7.

In addition to the coveted "No. 1," "No.2," and "No. 3" dog tag slots, the three winners will also receive a special "bucket of goodies" that only a dog could love.
