As a reminder, the Book Sale Room has reopened after the holidays and the new pricing has taken effect. The bag sales and refills have been discontinued. Adult hardcover books will be $3.00, paperback books will be $1.00, newly published books will be $5.00 and children and young adult books will remain the same. There are blue bins located in the upper and lower entrances if you have gently used books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks or puzzles to donate. The Book sale room is opened every Tuesday from 9:15am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
The Book Sale Room will be closed when the SW Schools are closed for inclement weather or other hazard conditions.
Mark your calendar for future events happening:
1. The Friends will host an information table at the Fantasy Masquerade on February 13th
sponsored by the SW Parks and Recreation Department. Please refer to the Park and
Recreation website for further details.
2. Jewelry donations will be accepted February through May from 9am to 4pm at
the Business Office for the Friends Annual Jewelry Sale scheduled for June 5th from
1pm to 4pm and June 6th from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Please sort items into separate
bags; for example, place all necklaces in one bag, bracelets in another, earrings in
another etc. We also accept jewelry boxes. Our Jewelry Sale has always been a big hit
and is a significant fund raiser.
3. The next Book for Lunch will be held on March 5th at 1pm.All are encouraged to
bring a lunch and arrive at 12:30 pm. Author will be David Vasquenza discussing his
poetry book Reflecting Upon Life.
