- In Police news, a second arrest was made in a stabbing incident that occurred at Bradford Bar & Grill, authorities are still on the lookout for a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting incident and who allegedly fired on a police officer and Officer Seth O' Brien was named Stamford's Police Officer of the Year.
- In Library news, the Ferguson Library saw recognition for it's status as the "unofficial" cooling center for the city, the Summer Reading Club took off and the book mobile announced its plans to visit the city's East Side on Wednesdays over the summer.
