Bedlam Brothers String Band Coming to Stamford

The band will give a concert next week.

The Bedlam Brothers String Band will perform a wide range of “roots music” from Appalachia, the British Isles and Ireland of the 1920s and 1930s at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 20 Forest St., Stamford.

For over 30 years the Bedlam Brothers String Band has performed for diverse audiences throughout Fairfield County with its brand of “old timey” traditional folk music, including Celtic music, fiddle tunes and country music from the 1920s and 1930s.

The Fairfield-based Bedlam Brothers (Mike Kachuba, Geoff Kooris, Dave McCaan and Jeff McHugh) play an assortment of string instruments including the guitar, banjo, fiddle, dulcimer and slide guitar. The band is also proud of its four part harmonies in filling out the sounds of Americana “roots music.”
