Stamford Man Robbed Same Business Twice At Knifepoint: Branford PD

The man is also accused of physically and sexually assaulting an employee of the business, police said.

BRANFORD, CT — A Stamford man is accused of robbing a local spa at knife point twice, and he is also accused of physically and sexually assaulting an employee, Branford police said.

Terrell Meynard was charged this week on a warrant with first-degree robbery, third-degree sexual assault and first-degree threatening stemming from an incident that occurred on Sept. 21, police said.

Meynard is also charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, first-degree sexual assault, and first-degree unlawful restraint for a separate incident that occurred on Aug. 26, police said.

In a social media post, police said at 8:40 p.m. on Sept. 21, police responded to Healthy Spa at 144 North Main St. regarding a robbery at knife point.

The victims reported that a lone suspect pulled a knife on them, physically assaulted and sexually assaulted one of the victims, and demanded money, police said.

During the investigation, one of the victims reported that while working alone at Healthy Spa on Aug. 26, the same suspect entered the business, pulled a knife on her, physically and sexually assaulted her, and demanded money, police said.

Both investigations led to the arrest of Meynard, 42, of Washington Boulevard in Stamford, police said.

He has been incarcerated since Oct. 7 for a similar crime that occurred in Milford, police said. He is currently being held on a $300,000 bond.

"We would like to thank the FBI, the West Haven Police Department, the Milford Police Department, the New Haven Police Department, and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this case," Branford police said.
