Building One Community (B1C) Brings Back Community Day at Yerwood Center.
The Center for Immigrant Opportunity revives its annual celebration, highlighting community connect

Building One Community (B1C) is excited to announce the return of its Community Day event after a year’s hiatus. This free, family-friendly celebration will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Yerwood Center, located at 90 Fairfield Avenue in Stamford.
With services now offered at two prominent locations, including the Yerwood Center since June, B1C has welcomed more families and neighbors into its programs than ever before. Community Day is a chance to build on that momentum, but the day is about more than just Yerwood. It’s about bringing together neighbors, families, and friends from across Stamford to connect, celebrate, and strengthen our community.
Attendees can look forward to music, engaging activities for all ages, and opportunities to connect with B1C’s Family Services, Academic Enrichment, Workforce Development, and Immigration Legal Services teams. The event will feature lots of partner organizations including the Colombian and Guatemalan Consulates. Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons will also join the celebration.
