Busy Intersection, Highway Exit Closed Due To Police Activity In Stamford, Police Say

STAMFORD, CT — The intersection of North State and Canal streets is completely blocked on Sunday afternoon, local officials said.

Officials urged residents to avoid the area until further notice. I-95 southbound exit 7 is closed as well.

"Please be advised there is Police activity at North State Street and Canal Street. Please take alternate routes. Thank you for your cooperation," Stamford police said.
