Car Arson Suspect Sought -- Stamford Police Release Video: WATCH
The suspect is believed to have torched a car parked on Vassar Avenue over the weekend.

Stamford Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man seen on video dousing a car with an accelerant and then setting it on fire early Sunday.
According to police, the man drove a light-colored Honda Civic, circa 2001-2002, and parked it on Young Dixon Way on the city’s West Side before 2 a.m. Nov. 8. Wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, the man is seen walking onto Vassar Avenue where the car fire occurred.
He was carrying a container that police believe contained an accelerant that he poured around the car, pooling beneath it, before he apparently set the car on fire.
In the video, the victim’s car can be seen erupting in flames, as the suspect runs from the scene and is then seen calmly walking back to his car, with a hand covering his face.
Police said the man’s car has unusual markings — it had a moonroof, a rear spoiler and both the front left and right rear wheels were black.
Police are asking if anyone recognizes the man or may have seen him in the area to call the Property Crimes Unit at 203-977-4407 to leave anonymous tips. Tips also can be left anonymously in the department’s Facebook page inbox.
