Cedar Heights Bridge Replacement To Begin In April, Stamford Says
Construction is scheduled to last seven months. There will be a road closure and detour.

STAMFORD, CT — The Cedar Heights Bridge replacement project is slated to begin on April 3, weather permitting, the city of Stamford recently announced.
As a result, Cedar Heights Road will be closed and a detour along Wire Mill Road and High Ridge Road will be implemented.
Located on Cedar Heights Road, the bridge spans 24 feet and has no sidewalks or approach guide rail systems to protect traffic from the blunt ends of the parapets.

The overall condition of the bridge was rated to be "serious" by ConnDOT inspection.
The bridge will be replaced and will be capable of withstanding pressures, velocities, impact and uplift forces from a 100-year flood, the city says on its website.
