Connecticut MFT Offices to Focus on Drug Abuse

Stamford, Darien offices will focus therapeutic practice on addiction prevention and recovery, family healing, and couples therapy.

From Manhattan MFT: Manhattan Marriage and Family Therapy, PLLC (www.ManhattanMFT.com) has opened doors of its Stamford, CT and Darien, CT satellite offices. Connecticut MFT will focus its therapeutic practice on addiction prevention and recovery, family healing, and couples therapy.

MMFT’s Connecticut offices are led by Dr. Amanda Craig, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board-approved Supervisor, and Clinical Director of Manhattan Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Craig will bring with her nearly 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her multifaceted expertise includes working with issues of depression, anxiety, addiction, life harmony, and relationship issues such as communication, conflict resolution, and infidelity.

The opening of the Connecticut offices is in part inspired by the uphill battle the communities in Darien and Stamford are facing in addressing the epidemic of heroin abuse among adolescents and adults. Dr. Craig has dedicated much of her career to studying and understanding the root causes and lifestyle choices that lead to substance abuse and other self-destructive behaviors. She hopes to parlay her extensive experience, which includes administering a substance abuse program for incarcerated youth, into a catalyst for change.
