Cops: Investigation Leads to Arrest of Naked Man Flushing Drugs
Police said a raid was conducted on the home of a repeat offender following a month-long investigation.

Early Thursday morning, police conducted a raid on a Clinton Avenue apartment and allegedly discovered the occupant naked and attempting to flush heroin down the toilet, police said later that same day.
According to Sgt. Rich Gasparino, a month-long investigation into the activities of Craig Nicholas Daly, 34, of a basement apartment on Clinton Avenue, led to a raid on his residence by the Narcotics and Organized Crime Division and Special Response Team, Stamford's SWAT unit.
Gasparino, who called Daly a career criminal, said the suspect was discovered by the units clearing the scene naked in the bathroom attempting to flush heroin down the toilet. He said the SRT was assisting with the raid as Daly had a violent history and there was information he may have been in possession of a handgun.

The rice the heroin was packed with, which is done to keep the heroin dry, was what caused the toilet to begin backing up and thwart Daly's efforts to flush the narcotics, Gasparino said.
Further investigation of the premises led police to discover roughly 32.6 grams of marijuana in his bedroom worth roughly $400, 8.8 grams of heroin worth approximately $900 and an unspecified quantity of crack cocaine. No weapon was recovered at the scene.

Daly was on special parole at the time of the raid and was remanded into custody of his parole officer. He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to sell, one for each of the possession charges.
Gasparino said the warrant served Thursday was the fourth at that apartment at that residence in the last 10 years of so.
