Cops: Stamford Man Punched Out Window of Car Ex Was In

Police are searching for a man who allegedly punched out the window of a car in which his ex was traveling with their two kids, his ex's new lover and the lover's two children.

Authorities announced Thursday that they were still searching for a suspect wanted in connection to an incident where a car window was punched out with four children in the car.

Police said they were called to the area of Lafayette St. and E. Main St. for reports that a man had attacked a vehicle his ex-girlfriend had been traveling in with their two children. 

The woman alleged her ex-boyfriend appeared from out of no where and ran up to the window of the vehicle, attempting to punch the woman's new boyfriend, who was operating the vehicle, police said.

When the man punched at the new boyfriend, he allegedly missed and struck the window, breaking it and then running off, police said. In the car at the time were the 5- and 7-year-old children of the woman's new boyfriend and the children of the woman and her angry ex, two boys aged 2 and 8 years old, according to authorities.

Police identified the suspect, a Stamford resident, as a white male approximatley 30-years old, but would not release the man's name as he has not yet been located and questioned in relation to the case.

Police did confirm they had been contacted before, as the man had a history of violence when he became angry.

Other Arrests

Daniel Albert Barragan, 30, of the 200 block of Hamilton Ave., was charged Wednesday afternoon with breach of peace, criminal mischief, assault and risk of injury to child.

Keith Bondurant, 49, of the first block of Merrit St. in Norwalk, was charged Wednesday evening with larceny.

Sergio Criollo, 31, of the first block of Linden Pl., was charged with improper use of a marker, operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to renew registration and improper color on his stop/turn signals.

Carlos Gonzales, 21, of the first block of Carolina Rd., was charged Thursday morning with engaging police in a pursuit, not using traffic signals, operating a motor vehicle without a license and interfering/resisting.

Tremayne Newton, 25, of the first block of Virgil St., was charged Thursday morning with threatening and disorderly conduct.

Michelle Rodriguez, 29, of the first block of Pulaski St., was charged Wednesday night with failure to appear.
