Stamford Residents Asked To Weigh In On Superintendent Search

STAMFORD, CT — The public is being asked to participate in upcoming input sessions for Stamford Public Schools' superintendent search.

The Stamford Board of Education has partnered with search firm Zeal Education Group to find the next leader of SPS.

"One of the most important parts of this process is hearing directly from stakeholders, including teachers, staff, parents, students, and the community," said BOE President Andy George in an announcement Friday. "Stakeholder input will help Zeal develop a Leadership Profile that reflects the values, priorities, and aspirations of the Stamford community. The Leadership Profile will guide both the recruitment of strong candidates and the evaluation of their fit with the district."

Beginning on Monday, Jan. 12, Zeal will host multiple opportunities for all stakeholders to share their perspectives, both in person and virtually.

Parent/Family Sessions - designed for parents or guardians of current SPS students:

• Monday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. via Zoom
• Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Location TBA
• Thursday, Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Stamford Government Center (BOE Boardroom - 5th floor)
• Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9 a.m. via Zoom
• Wednesday, January 21 at 8 a.m. via Zoom
• Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the SPS Welcome Center (presented in Spanish)
