STAMFORD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Jennifer Johnson who nominated Dr. Shruti Gupta of Stamford, a neonatologist. Gupta is a member of the Tiny Miracles Foundation's Medical Advisory Board.

Relationship to nominee: Work Associate

Reason for recognition: Dr. Gupta is a neonatologist caring for some of the smallest and most critical newborns in Fairfield County. As a member of the Tiny Miracles Foundation's Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Gupta is an advocate for prematurity awareness.

One thing to know: Dr. Gupta is a devoted caregiver and keeps the emotional needs of the whole family in mind when caring for the medical needs of babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
