First Responder Training Exercise Announced In Stamford: What To Expect

Residents might notice extra police activity in Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department announced it will be conducting a joint search and rescue training exercise Tuesday night with the city's fire department as well as EMS personnel.

The exercise will take place along the Aquarion Water Company property in North Stamford from 3 p.m. to approximately 7 p.m., police said.

"Residents may notice police activity in the area, as well as drones operating overhead as part of the exercise," police noted in a social media post. "This is only a training exercise and will not impact traffic or restrict access to any roadways in the area. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to enhance our readiness and inter-agency coordination to better serve our community."
