Greenwich Native Named CFO At Stamford's Charter Oak Communities

Charter Oak Communities is a major provider of affordable housing in Stamford.

GREENWICH, CT — Charter Oak Communities has promoted longtime employee Sam Feda to Chief Financial Officer, the organization announced. He succeeds Lisa Reynolds, who recently retired.

Charter Oak Communities is a major provider of affordable housing in Stamford, serving low- and moderate-income families as well as market-rate residents.

Feda, who joined the organization in 2010 shortly after graduating from college, has served in various roles including accountant, finance manager, and most recently, director of finance. He will report to Charter Oak’s CEO, Vin Tufo.

During his tenure, Feda played a role in transforming the organization’s finance department by improving processes, integrating new technologies and contributing to stronger audit outcomes. The department has doubled in staff size in response to increased demand and complexity.

In his new role, Feda will oversee financial management for both Charter Oak Communities and its real estate development arm, Rippowam Corporation. He will also lead the organization’s Information Technology and Risk Management departments.

I’ve always enjoyed the numbers, and at COC I’ve been able to learn, grow and put those skills to good work – both for the company and our residents," Feda said in a prepared statement. "It’s also very fulfilling to be part of such a collaborative team and to see how COC has redeveloped and improved its properties over the years."

Feda, who graduated from Greenwich High School, holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from La Salle University, an MBA from Sacred Heart University, and is a Certified Management Accountant. He lives in Trumbull with his wife and twin sons.
