Here's When High School Graduations Will Take Place In Stamford
Per state law, high school graduations must take place on or after the 180th day of school.
STAMFORD, CT — With spring here, it's time to start thinking about school graduations.
Last week, Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools Dr. Tamu Lucero announced that the graduations for all three of the city's high schools will take place on June 12, a day before the last day of school for all students.
AITE and Stamford High School graduations will both begin at 2 p.m., and Westhill High School will begin at 4 p.m. There is a rain date of June 13.

"I know this is exciting for our families who have seniors graduating this year," Lucero said during last Tuesday's Board of Education meeting.
The middle school (eighth grade) moving up ceremonies will take place on June 13. Times vary by school. Details for the elementary school moving up ceremonies have not yet been shared.

Per state law, high school graduations must take place on or after the 180th day of school, which is June 12 this year.
"Graduation ceremonies are scheduled so as not to conflict with dismissal of students in grades 9-11, and the ceremony times are also coordinated in consultation with the school principals, the City of Stamford, and the Stamford Police Department," Lucero noted in her weekly message to the SPS community.
