Impact Fairfield County to Host Fall Kickoff on November 5th

Event to feature Grant Winners The Rowan Center & EMERGE Connecticut, showcasing women-led philanthropy and impactful community initiatives

Impact Fairfield County (Impact FFC), a leading women’s collective giving organization, will launch its 2025–2026 grant cycle with a community event at The Loading Dock, 375 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, November 5th at 10:00 a.m.

The event will feature inspiring presentations from Impact FFC’s 2025 $100K Grant Winners, The Rowan Center and EMERGE Connecticut, and provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about Impact FFC’s mission, membership, and impact across Fairfield County.
Both grantee organizations are driving transformational change in their communities:

  • The Rowan Center supports survivors of sexual violence through advocacy, counseling, and prevention education. Its Impact FFC–funded project, KidSafeHQ, is a new digital platform that will bring together expert-vetted, locally relevant safety resources to help families protect children from online exploitation, grooming, and sextortion.
  • EMERGE Connecticut is a mission-driven employment social enterprise dedicated to transforming the reentry experience for formerly incarcerated individuals. Its Impact FFC grant is expanding EMERGE’s holistic reentry and employment programming into Bridgeport, providing paid transitional work, vocational training, and personal development support.

The event follows Impact FFC’s recent Impactful Conversation at Athena Books in Old Greenwich, where members discussed The Many Lives of Mama Love—a memoir about redemption and reentry after incarceration—and heard from Dr. Don Sawyer, Board Chair of EMERGE Connecticut, about the challenges individuals face when returning from incarceration.

“Our kickoff event is a wonderful opportunity for current and prospective members to come together, hear from our incredible 2025 grantees, and celebrate the power of collective giving,” said Jennifer Servedio, Co-President of Impact FFC. “It’s also a chance for anyone interested in learning more about Impact FFC to connect with women who are making a difference in Fairfield County.”

Since its founding in 2015, Impact FFC has granted nearly $2.6 million to local nonprofits through member-driven philanthropy. The organization continues to empower women across the region to engage in meaningful, informed, and collaborative giving.
