Lane Closures Expected In Downtown Stamford From Milling, Paving

Work is slated to begin Wednesday night, according to the city of Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will conduct a milling and paving operation in downtown Stamford that will bring lane closures and alternating traffic beginning the night of Wednesday, May 29, according to the city of Stamford.

Closures and alternating traffic will take place at the intersection of Tresser Boulevard (between Atlantic Street and Washington Boulevard) and Washington Boulevard (between Bell Street and Tresser Boulevard).

The milling work will begin tonight and run through the morning of Friday May 31, the city said. The paving operation is scheduled to begin the night of Tuesday, June 4, through the morning of Friday June 7.

All work will be done between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone, the city said.

Drivers should utilize North and South State Streets as east/west detours and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in the area.
