Original story: 11:30 a.m.

A 25-year-old man was in critical condition at Stamford Hospital Monday after he was shot three times on Stamford’s West Side Sunday night.

Stamford Police said they were dispatched to the area of 84 Myano Ln. at 7:24 p.m. Nov. 8 where they found the victim, a White Plains, NY resident suffering from three gunshot wounds to his torso, left arm and left leg. He was rushed to Stamford Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical but stable condition on Monday morning, according to police.

The SPD detective bureau and ID bureau responded and processed the scene.

Police said their investigation indicates that the victim and another man, described as a 34-year-old Stamford resident, were walking in the area of 84 Myano Ln. when they were approached by a light skinned Hispanic man in his early 20s. After a short conversation, a light skinned black man in his early 20s came from behind a tree and ambushed the victim with gunfire, police said.

The suspects ran north on Myano Lane. “The incident was captured on CCTV and we are in the process of obtaining that video in an attempt to identify the persons involved. The video will be released later today,” said Lt. Diedrich Hohn.

Police said both suspects were wearing dark colored hoodies. The shooter may be in possession of a revolver and should be considered armed and dangerous.

It is the second shooting in a week in the neighborhood. On Nov. 2, 43-year-old Maxine Gooden of Myano Lane, was fatally shot as she talked with friends in the parking lot of Lione Park. Three suspects were arrested in connection with her death.

Anyone having any information on this incident you are urged to call the SPD Detective bureau at 203-977-4417. All information will be kept confidential.
