In Memoriam: Antonia C. Conetta
The 60-year resident of Stamford passed away Dec. 2 at the age of 93.

Antonia Colomba Conetta, a 60-year resident of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Stamford Hospital.
Born on June 13, 1922 in Settefrati, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Rafaella Pollicella Massarella and Giuseppe Massarella.

Antonia worked for the Town of Darien as a custodian for over 20 years.
She is survived by three sons, Louis and his wife, Maryann, of Orange, CT; Anthony and his wife, Jacqueline; and Joseph and his wife, Emily, all of Darien. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michael and his wife Catalina; David and his wife MaryJo; Michele and her husband John; Ray; Toni-Ann and her husband Nick; Christina; and Nicholas and his wife Brianna; as well as 10 great-grandchildren, Allie, Cammie, Jake, Miranda, Jack, Sarah, Alex, Camilo, Ava and Nick. Antonia is also survived by a brother, Luciano Massarella of Toronto, Canada and a sister, Maria Domenica Lanni of Port Chester, NY.

She was predeceased by her husband, Remigio Conetta in January of 2014.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, December 6, from 2 to 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Monday, December 7, at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
