In Memoriam: Arnaldo Pensiero
The long-time Stamford resident passed away Jan. 19 at the age of 91.

Arnaldo Pensiero, a longtime resident of Stamford, and beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 with his loving family at his side. He was 91 years old.
Arnaldo was born in Santa Maria Infante, Minturno, Italy on September 23, 1924 and was one of six children born to the late Joseph and Antonia (Tarantino) Pensiero.

Arnaldo came to the United States from Italy in 1956. He worked as a carpenter for 40 years until his retirement in 1996, and was a proud member of CT Local Union 210. He came to the United States in hopes of making a better life for himself and his family and in that regard he was extremely successful. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed working in the garden, going fishing and following S.S.C. Napoli, the professional soccer club based out of Naples, Italy. But above everything, Arnaldo was at his happiest when he was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Maria Adelina (Mallozzi) Pensiero; his daughters and sons-in-law, Antoinette and Giulio Pompa and Virginia and Angelo Mazzola; his grandsons; Angelo Loreto Mazzola (Laura) and Alessandro Mazzola (fiancé, Maryanne Schinella); his precious great-granddaughter, Madison Ann; his sister; Vincenza Inzitari, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Francesco and Flaminio Pensiero, and two sisters, Maria Zinicola and Elda Pensiero.
The Pensiero family will receive the sympathy of friends and family on Thursday, January 21, from 4 to 8p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, at 10 a.m at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. The entombment will immediately follow mass at St. Mary R.C. Cemetery in Greenwich.
