Catherine Mead, age 83, a lifelong resident of Stamford Connecticut, passed away on Saturday (December 12, 2015) at Stamford Hospital with her loving family at her side.
She was born January 8, 1932 to James and Ephra (Riberty) Couremenos.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Mead.
She is survived by her sister Nancy Macari of Brookfield, her daughters Tamara (Steve) Stanley of Portsmouth, Virginia, Nancy Iglesias of Stamford, her grandchildren, William and Jose Iglesias of Stamford, Amanda, and Alyssa of Portsmouth, VA, Andrew Stanley of Wilmington, DE, her step-granddaughter Ashley Godfrey of Texas, her four step-great-grandchildren, Gage, Mackenzie, Brennan, and Tristen of Texas, her nephews Michael and Jerry Macari of Stamford and her niece Diane Pastor of Brookfield.

She will always be remembered for her joyful personality, her excellent attitude, and her wonderful smile.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 16, at 11 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford. Interment will take place in private.
