In Memoriam: Florence T. DiVasto
The Stamford resident passed away March 9 at the age of 90.

Florence T. DiVasto, 90, wife of the late Joseph Paul DiVasto of Stamford, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital.
She was born March 5, 1926, in Greenwich, the daughter of the late Philomenia and Patsy Figliola.
Florence DiVasto attended Greenwich High School and moved to Stamford when she married. She was a very active mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working hard and supporting her family any way she knew. She worked later on in her life as a care taker for young children including her granddaughter.
She is survived by daughters JoAnne Fisher of Wilton and Lynda DiVasto of Guilford; one granddaughter Lyndsay Coppola of Wilton, and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jacquelyn Coppola of Wilton. She is also survived by her sister Nelly Ferraris of Ridgefield.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by her sister Eleanor Ioli and Pat Figliola.
There will no public visitation prior to the funeral. Friends and family are invited for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 229 Danbury Rd., Wilton. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Greenwich.
