In Memoriam: John Reginald Holman
The former Stamford resident passed away Dec. 22 at the age of 72.

John Reginald Holman, 72, passed away December 22, 2015 at his home in Germantown.
He was born February 15, 1943 to the late John and Christine Roberts Holman in Mineola, Long Island NY.

John graduated from Stamford High School in Stamford; and was a six-year veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a Boswain Mate 3rd class. John’s passions were his love for family and friends, riding his motorcycle and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a former owner of Cycle Supply, a retired Shelby County Park Ranger and a longtime parishioner of Church of the Holy Spirit.
John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maryann Holman; his sons, John Michael (Penny) Holman, Timothy Joseph Holman and Jason John Holman; his grandchildren, Jacob and Margaret Holman, brother, Frederick (Susan) Holman, his brother-in-law Robert McNamara and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday December 29, from 10 to 11 AM. A graveside service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road, Greenwich.
